 My new Personal Learning Network incorporates more specific technologies than the old one I made at the beginning of the semester. My previous one included "The Internet" without much elaboration. Now my "The Internet" section includes things like Blogger and Reddit. My therapist and past teachers are included in both PLNs because they will forever be helpful resources to me.


I will use data collection to ask students (high school level) how they felt about previous assignments. I'll ask them if there is anything they would have liked to have done differently as well. This way I can use it for future classes as well to better my learning environment. My goal is to have my students learn in the best way possible and data collection would be a huge help.


I'd like to further my skills using other web-design tools. I did not enjoy using Weebly and would like to experience other tools to make a class website. To accomplish this goal I will watch tutorial videos for my website builder. That is my first option, but a good second option is to build a site from scratch, asking my uncle (who is a web designer) for help.

 Welcome to my Blog! My goal for this class is to learn how to use various technologies to further my teaching ability in the future. I'm not the best at technology so I'm super excited to learn. When I eventually become a teacher, I want to make a fun online presence that my students can enjoy. Using tools like blogger could be very helpful for classroom updates and the like. My prior classroom technology experience is using things such as school laptops throughout the years. When I was in 4th grade, my elementary school got Smartboards for every classroom. In 5th grade, iPads were introduced. In middle school, we got school laptops. It was really cool being part of the test groups for all of these technological advancements so the schools could fine tune any issues we encountered in the future.  I've been using MS word for years now because of school. When I was in middle school, all Leon County School students were assigned a Microsoft 365 account that we would continue to use until we graduated high school. I've always preferred Google Docs, though. I'm a writer and all of my stories, from my short stories to the novel I've been working on for years now, are all on my Google Drive. I identify most with ISTE's "Learner" archetype. Even when I (hopefully) become a teacher, I still plan to learn new things every day. I didn't really learn anything I didn't already know from the site, but it was helpful to get a refresher. My PLN will be in use every day, and I will keep up to date on current events. I personally really believe in the "digital native" theory. Having grown up around technology, I certainly feel I have a better grasp of it than the older generations.
